Monday (03/11/08)
I met my friends at the bus stop at Downtown East and we went to check in and put our stuff in the chalet. Hui Jie gave me a call and said that she was over at the Escape Theme Park entrance and was lost, but we were too busy trying to check in. I told her to wait until we get her. In the end, the plans clashed and only Isaac ended up taking her over to the chalet. We then went to the NTUC at E!hub to get our barbecue foodstuff and such... we only bought five bottles of drinks, major mistake. It wasn't even enough to fill our bladders. We saw Janet and her cousin there and it was super hilarious... she held a radio and the Pictionary board game in a supermarket. When we were finding the food, it was super funny, Hui Jie took the soup fishballs to grill in the barbecue. I was picturing the soupy fishballs on charcoal. Hui Yen also gave me the spreading butter, which was... MARGARINE?
We then went back to the chalet to put all the food in the pantry. Hui Jie, Janet and Jessica went to have their late lunch while I played Pictionary with Hui Yen, Jun Jie and Yi Ren. It was so hyper.
When the girls got back with my Mars bar, they told us about a bitchy woman at KFC. The conversation went like this (I think?)...
Janet: Can I have this set?
Cashier (bitchy woman): Okay, that would be $7.20 (or $7.90? I have no idea).
Janet: But, there's a student meal in that set.
Cashier (bitchy woman): Oh, I'm so sorry. But you paid already. So, next time.
When I was eating the Mars bar, it suddenly plopped on the floor and everyone screamed. It's so lame but funny.
We then went to the park to cycle too because the heavy rain stopped. The weather was perfect to go to the park. The scenery was great. We were taking such a long time that my mother had to get the cake for us.
Fast forward to the barbecue (not really, because shortly after we had to prepare already). My parents brought along lots of delicious food, but Jessica was a vegetarian, so it was totally lame. When I went to get extra drinks, I went with Hui Yen and Pearlyn to conveniently buy food for Jessica. Janet was so irresponsible! We had a hard time getting food for her because she didn't want to choose. In the end, we had to speak up for her.
My brother was taking "orders" for the barbecued food for Yi Ren when he was watching TV in the chalet. In the end, Janet and Jun Jie told him not to take the food up because he was being lazy.
We then cut the cake and all that and my parents went home. We stayed up into the night playing Truth or Dare, Harry and Mary and telling ghost stories to one another. Freaky, I guess? We also played Monopoly, and I took such a long time trying to find the batteries. All the stores were closed, including Cheers!
There was one time when the door to the girls' bathroom could not be opened. We tried to use the keys to the chalet and we removed it from the detector and suddenly the whole chalet turned dark and everyone screamed. I swear, that was so dumb. In the end, the door opened with Janet's supposed "karate chop". Some people tried to take advantage of this situation with their freaky ghost stories.

Tuesday (04/11/08)
It was a long day, and a hot one too. We woke up at around 9am and we went to brush our teeth and stuff. I watched TV while they changed and showered. After that, all of us went out to have our breakfast at McDonald's. It was pretty normal, just that we took up three tables. We walked to Escape Theme Park to see if it was open (it wasn't the day before), but it wasn't... still.
We then went back to rest, but Serene went home early because she wasn't feeling well. After that, we just went to E!hub for bowling because it was such a hot morning. Janet just stayed in and continued sleeping. My bowling skills are pathetic, so are my scores. But I managed to win Hui Yen for the second round. Bowling is fun.
After bowling, Janet went to pick us up and we simply went back to the chalet to rest. Some of us turned on the radio and danced crazily to the beat while some of us played board games and slacked in the rooms instead. After a while, we planned to go to the park for inline skating but halfway there Isaac didn't feel well and Pearlyn and Yi Ren went back to the chalet with him. When we reached the park and got our skates, it rained lightly and we were afraid that we wouldn't be able to skate, so Hui Jie helped us return the skates after a long discussion with the store owners. So, we simply had our lunch at Downtown East. We went back again. Sigh, so boring, right? But nope, I decided to take funny pictures of myself for the first time with Hui Yen and Hui Jie. I feel so thick-skinned.
We then went for bowling again because we liked it. My scores were better this time and I beat Isaac for the second round too. My mother dropped by and bought us some cookies from Subway. When we came back, a lot of people took a shower (except for me) and watched the 9pm show while Jun Jie and Isaac helped us buy the cup noodles. Pearlyn told me she finished the WHOLE OF "TWILIGHT" (a book by Stephenie Meyer) in a day!!! What the? Later, I went down with Hui Yen, Jasper and Yi Ren to Fish and Co. to have our supper and the fish was indeed nice. Jasper bought a Sprite there which totally tasted like carbonated water. We told the cashiers and when they tried it, they gave funny disgusted reactions. We talked and joked a lot with one another there and then walked back to the chalet. When I was taking a shower, they were playing lame games. Janet seemed to have problems with her cousin but I guess it's already settled. We then played a board game and went to sleep at... 3am.

Overall the chalet may not be THAT fun but it was a great opportunity to bond with my friends for the last time... I can't wait for the other trip to South Korea!!!
